SHOTGUN Kids Saddle

The Shotgun Saddle is the original accessory designed for sharing your passion for mountain biking with your child (aged 2 to 5). By placing the child on the frame, in front of you, you give them an unobstructed view of the trail and a central position that does not unbalance the bike.

This unique system encourages interaction: you can talk to your child, explain the lines and share their sensations in real time. Its ingenious design is fully adjustable to fit the vast majority of mountain bikes on the market (aluminium or carbon), while offering total frame protection thanks to high-density rubber guards.

Is it compatible with my carbon MTB? Yes. The Shotgun saddle is designed with very thick rubber protections that distribute the pressure. It is used by thousands of parents on high-end carbon frames without any issues.

Does it work on an electric mountain bike (e-MTB)? For e-MTBs (whose down tube is often very wide due to the battery), we recommend the Shotgun 2.0 or Shotgun Pro models instead, which are specifically designed for oversized frames.

Can the child fall asleep on the saddle? No. Unlike rear seats with a backrest, the child is active on the Shotgun saddle. They must hold the handlebar and help maintain balance. This is what makes the experience both educational and safe, but it does require the child to be wide awake.

Is it difficult to pedal with the child at the front? You need to spread your knees slightly while pedalling, but you get used to it very quickly. The central position is much more stable for technical riding than a weight hanging off the back of the bike.
