BROOKS CAMBIUM C19 Saddle Black

The BROOKS C19 Saddle is the widest saddle in the Cambium family. At 184 mm wide, it is specifically designed for cyclists adopting an upright riding position (back angle of 90°), typical of Dutch bikes, cargo bikes or comfort-oriented touring bikes. It offers maximum support for the sit bones, ensuring a stable and pain-free seating position, even without padded shorts.

Like all models in the All-Weather range, it uses vulcanised natural rubber technology. This structure acts like a suspended hammock that absorbs road irregularities, from urban cobblestones to country paths. Its waterproof nylon cover requires no maintenance and withstands the harshest weather conditions, making it the ideal saddle for commuters who leave their bike locked outside.

Is the C19 suitable for a road bike? No, it is not recommended for a sporty position. Its width could hinder thigh movement during intense forward pedalling. For road use, opt for the C15 or C17 models instead.

Is it compatible with electric bikes (e-bikes)? Absolutely. It is one of the best choices for an urban e-bike. As you tend to spend more time seated on an electric bike, the superior comfort of the C19 is a major advantage.

Can I fit it on a touring/trekking bike? Yes, if your handlebars are higher than your saddle. For long distances in a relaxed position, it offers support that few saddles can match, while remaining robust in all weather conditions encountered on tour.

Does it require a protective cream like leather saddles? Not at all. That is the advantage of the Cambium range: a wipe with a damp cloth is all it takes. It is not affected by rain, snow or mud.
