BROOKS CAMBIUM C15 CARVED Saddle Black

The BROOKS Saddle C15 Carved is the "high-performance" version of the Cambium family, designed for dynamic and sporty riding. Narrower than the classic C17, it allows greater freedom of movement at the thighs during fast pedalling. The "Carved" feature lies in its central cutout opening, which offers increased flexibility and considerably relieves pressure on sensitive areas.

Like the entire Cambium range, it is built on a vulcanised natural rubber top that follows the cyclist's movements for an immediate "hammock" comfort. Whether you ride on an aggressive road bike, an urban fixie or a competition gravel bike, the C15 Carved offers a firm yet flexible seat that requires no maintenance. Why choose the C15 over the C17? The C15 is narrower (140 mm versus 162 mm). It is recommended if you have a more aggressive riding position (handlebar lower than the saddle) or if you have a rather narrow pelvis. 

Does the central opening let water through from underneath? In heavy rain and without mudguards, it is possible that some splashes may pass through the cutout. However, the saddle material itself is completely waterproof and does not become saturated with water.

Is the Carved version more flexible than the solid version? Yes. The cutout allows the two sides of the saddle to move more independently, making the overall seat more flexible and more comfortable on rough roads.

Is it compatible with bikepacking? Absolutely. Its robustness and maintenance-free nature make it a highly popular saddle for ultra-distance events and lightweight touring where you do not want to worry about protecting leather.
