An evolution of the legendary Python, multiple winner at the XC World Cup — most notably with Julien Absalon — the HUTCHINSON Python 2 tyre is designed for Cross-Country and Enduro riding on dry to slightly loose terrain.
In this new version, the Python 26x2.25 combines side knobs of limited height divided into three distinct sections to ensure optimal grip in corners, a central tread row offering maximum efficiency on dry terrain while guaranteeing permanent contact with the ground, and in between, reversed "pistol" knobs for firm, biting braking.
It also benefits from the Hardskin textile grid reinforcement in high-resistance nylon, placed beneath the tread and on the sidewalls to prevent cuts from sharp stones.
Designed by French manufacturer HUTCHINSON, the Python 2 is ideal as a rear tyre and pairs perfectly with the Cobra or Cougar at the front.

"Very good tire, but 200gr more than advertised! Otherwise it's still a python! And very easy to mount in soft bead"
"Top tire especially in dry weather, in all places, gravel, dirt etc."
"It's a tire I put on the rear, and it's living up to its promise. I've done about 100 kms on it since then, and it holds up well in curves and has good grip when climbing. No punctures so far. To be seen with time."
"I just put this tire on my bike and after a first ride, I felt the difference. It's very rolling. Beware I finished my ride in the mud ( unexpected storm and the , c not made for but not at all lol). Use it on dry roads!
"Hardskin or not, punctures come easily, for my part on the first outing with this tire. One cross bramble and it's 4 slow punctures on the program... . I think nothing beats the puncture-proof tape to be added between the tire and the tube."
