GIRO TYRANT MIPS MTB Helmet Matte Black

The GIRO Tyrant Mips is an incredibly versatile helmet with a understated style that benefits from countless technological advances, including Wind Tunnel ventilation and the evolution of the original Mips protection liner, MIPS Spherical. It is clearly aimed at versatile riders who enjoy both Enduro and Dirt. In the mould of Josh Bryceland.

Now, instead of the characteristic Mips liner (yellow plastic), 2 layers of EPS foam of different densities are used: connected to each other by elastomer attachments, they move very slightly independently of one another, rotationally, in the event of oblique impacts. By this means, cyclist comfort and the level of ventilation are also improved.

The helmet structure, based on an In-Mold design (polycarbonate outer shell / EPS and EPP liner), is extremely robust, notably thanks to the combination, called Progressive Layering™, of EPS foam that manages high-speed impacts and lower-density EPP foam that handles the most common impacts, which often occur at low speed. The Roc Loc® Air DH adjustment system also ensures a perfect fit and maximum stability.

Comfort is also very much present with 14 ventilation tunnels that ensure excellent airflow throughout effort. In particular, with the presence of ducts at the forehead level to expel excess heat and more easily eliminate fogging on the goggle. In addition, the Tyrant features hydrophilic foams capable of absorbing up to ten times their weight in water, for very effective sweat absorption and to keep you feeling fresh at all times.

The finish is very refined, as this helmet is optimised to store a goggle under the tool-free visor and comes with an extra set of foam pads to allow you to adjust it perfectly to your head.
