The handlebar SPANK Spike 800 Vibrocore is a model of DH combining the strength and value for money of aluminium with the comfort and performance of carbon.
Developed in collaboration with riders Tracey and Mike Hannah on World Cup stages, this handlebar made from Super6 MGR aluminium benefits from Vibrocore technology, a complex foam that reduces and better diffuses vibrations, and prevents the resonance phenomenon. As a result, the rider is less affected by the terrain, enabling better performance for longer by reducing fatigue in the shoulders, arms and hands.
In terms of geometry, this handlebar features a width of 800mm paired with a 30mm rise, an ideal compromise between control and performance.

"It's no heavier than my original handlebar, and it works great! No pain in my hands after a full day of downhill riding on rough terrain. Note: you'll still feel big impacts. But it drastically reduces the micro-vibrations that tire out your hands, forearms, and shoulders. In short, the low-density foam does its job very well. Plus, the design is understated and looks good on any bike. (P.S.: I fitted my handlebar with OURY grips. The riding comfort is exceptional.)"
