The distinguishing feature of this model lies in its internal structure: the core is thinned at the ends to allow more rubber where the hand needs cushioning, whilst the single-clamp (Lock-on) locking system ensures a solid fix on the handlebar. It is the ideal choice for Trail and Enduro riders who spend long days in the saddle and want to minimise vibrations.
Why choose a 33 mm diameter? A wider grip means you need to "squeeze" the handlebar less to maintain control. This greatly benefits riders with large hands or those who suffer from compartment syndrome and forearm pain.
Are they compatible with carbon handlebars? Yes, the SDG Lock-on system is designed to be safely tightened on both aluminium and carbon handlebars. Simply make sure to observe the recommended tightening torque (generally 2–3 Nm).
