AERON ExtraLite Protect Alu Valve CX-Gravel Inner Tube 650b/700x32-52mm

The AERON ExtraLite Protect Alu Valve CX-Gravel inner tube uses the versatile TPU construction of the ExtraLite range, with an aluminium Presta valve body with a removable valve core, whereas the standard version uses a fixed polymer body.

On a gravel bike, this removable valve core has a practical benefit: it allows you to add a valve extender on a deep-section rim and, above all, replace a damaged core rather than the entire inner tube — a common scenario when handling the valve with mud-covered hands. Aluminium also adds stiffness to the most vulnerable area of the inner tube.

Rated Level 3 “Endurance / High Performance”, it covers a 32 to 52 mm range in both 650B and 700C, making it compatible with almost all current gravel and cyclo-cross setups. 58 g on the scales, around 61% less than an equivalent butyl inner tube. 65 mm valve. Important: this inner tube is intended for disc-brake bikes. AERON does not approve it for rim brakes, as heat build-up can degrade the TPU.
