Who took over Probikeshop?
Probikeshop was taken over in January 2024 by Olivier Rochon, its original founder, together with Ken Gessler, owner of the company Troika. The takeover plan was approved by the Commercial Court in December 2023.
This duo did not come about by chance: Ken was already supporting Olivier when Probikeshop was founded in 2005. It is a return to roots, away from large financial groups.
Logistics are handled by Snowleader, a major French outdoor specialist, via its subsidiary Robloch'log.
The operations team is made up 100% of veterans of the venture, based in Lyon.

Was Probikeshop placed into liquidation?
No. Probikeshop was never liquidated.
The company was placed into receivership in October 2023 following difficulties faced by its shareholder at the time, the German group SSU. Receivership is a protective legal procedure, not a closure.
A takeover plan was approved by the Commercial Court in December 2023. All customers with pending orders during the transition period were refunded.
Operations resumed in January 2024 with a team of 15 long-standing employees and a new French logistics partner, Snowleader.
That period is behind us: more than 300,000 orders have been fulfilled since.
